The special meeting of the Village of Arcade Board of Trustees, Wyoming County, New York was held on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at 10:00am there were:

PRESENT

Mayor Mike Doster, Deputy Mayor Richard Kosmerl, Trustee Paul Burkett, Superintendent of Public Works Larry Kilburn, and Clerk/Treasurer Pam Beiersdorf

ABSENT

Trustee Hugh Ely, Trustee Dan Reisdorf, Police Chief John Laird

ALSO PRESENT

Town of Arcade Officials:  Superintendent Doug Berwanger, Councilmen Eric Slocum, Kathy Landahl, Dave Linder, and Judy Rix, Clerk Sandie Dutton, Highway Superintendent Chris Lester, and Budget Officer Richard Harrison,

Wyoming County Community Action: Marty Mucher and Alan Bliss

Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce:  Jim Pierce

Arcadia Heights Developers:  Dave Trent, Michelle Lemke, Chrys Vergos, Tom Hollis, and Franca Trincia

Residents: Dave Dutton, Christopher Cole, Greg Schuyler, Brian Lane, Paul Sanders, and Richard Meyers

NOTICE

Pursuant to Article 7 of the Public Officers Law, notice of this special meeting was given to the media on the 18th day of January 2006, published on the 26th day of January 2006, and the same posted on the 18th day of January 2006.

PLEDGE TO ALLEGIANCE

Town of Arcade Supervisor Berwanger opened the meeting with the Pledge to Allegiance.

PURPOSE OF SPECIAL MEETING

The purpose of the meeting was to hold a joint meeting with the Town of Arcade Board Members to discuss proposed annexation for Northridge Homes, Arcadia Heights Development, and Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce. Representatives from each group made a presentation to the Boards regarding their intended annexation. After much discussion on the pros/cons of annexation, each Board gave authorization for the groups to move forward with filing their official petition. Once the official petitions has been received, a joint public hearing will be scheduled.

ADJOURN

There being no further business to come before the Boards the special meeting duly adjourned at 12:20pm upon motion by Town of Arcade Councilwoman Kathy Landahl and seconded by Town of Arcade Councilman Dave Linder.
